'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would seriously contemplate extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract talks could begin in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring performance continues to impress
